Black Solidarity Week

Black Solidarity Week provides the springboard for organizing for Black liberation for the rest of the year.

In March we begin the cycle of Black Solidarity Yearly Points of Organizing. Each month we will offer a Solidation Session that is connected to one of the 9 Areas of Self-Determination. The cycle concludes with our Black Solidarity Conference which will provide us with opportunities to assess, celebrate and recalibrate our work, thus moving us back into Black Solidarity Week planning and execution.

Since the first annual Black Solidarity Week in 2018, we have focused on listening and preparing by hosting Black Solidarity Listening Sessions. These small engagements centered on the 9 Areas of Self-Determination. They include speakers who present on topics critical to self-determination, but the bulk of the sessions focus on listening to the people. CRC takes down input from the community, processes it, and in subsequent sessions, presents the products of these conversations, such as the Black Solidarity Agendas and Plans of Action.
